Not only does it offer great beaches, but Toronto Island has some great parks to enjoy the colours of fall with the Toronto skyline posing as a beautiful backdrop. Now that it’s out of peak season, the island is much quieter and becomes a place that you can roam freely for the day, a great way to escape craziness of the city without ever leaving. While at the island be sure to check out the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Toronto’s oldest landmark. Oh but a word of warning, beware of the ghost.
