·
Labeling:
Each individual work area should be marked with a
number. For example #28 represents the employee in that area. A number with a
dash, i.e., 28-6 will represent each piece in that persons work area (i.e., desk, cabinet,
computer etc.) Everything must be tagged no matter how inconsequential it may seem.
(i.e., floor mats, garbage cans, etc.) Items without a tag will not
be moved. A corresponding floor plan should be drawn up to direct the movers where to
place the item in the office, at the destination. In addition label, each workstation
or office at destination with employee tag number i.e. #28, as an easy reference
guide. All this seems meticulous but it will ensure a smooth-flowing move and will
save your company money.
